Sri. Alagia Nambi
Sri. Alagia Nambi is a senior-level officer who has served in various Central Police Organizations under the Government of India.
He began his career in the Security Department of Indian Railways and went on to hold senior positions in Vigilance and Anti-Corruption under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas and the Ministry of Civil Aviation, on deputation through UPSC. He has undergone specialized training in investigation with the Central Bureau of Investigation, intelligence with the Intelligence Bureau, and aviation security with the Ministry of Civil Aviation.
With vast expertise in aviation security, he has trained nearly 5,000 personnel from Airport Police, CISF, and airline security teams in baggage screening, cargo/mail screening, hijack prevention, and counter-terrorism measures. He played a key role in security vetting and clearance of several airports including Chennai and Bangalore, and contributed to SOPs and security programs for multiple aviation stakeholders.
For his meritorious service, he was awarded the Indian Police Medal by the Hon’ble President of India in 2000.
Post voluntary retirement, he served as Head of Security at Air Asia India for four years and is currently a Security Consultant to Global Flight Handling Services, Chennai, guiding aviation security operations and training through a BCAS-approved Aviation Security Training Institute.
